After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he married Beverly A.Schaunaman in 1958 and graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1960.

She gifted all her family members with their own special quilt.

She was very creative and in her later years loved to craft.

She attended Dorman Country School north of Kennebec through the eighth grade and then Kennebec High School.

During high school, Della boarded in Kennebec and worked at various jobs around town.

She was the bookkeeper for Studt Construction and Electric, John’s business, since 1963, along with helping on the farm.

In 1976, they purchased the Maytag Appliance Store in Presho, built a new building on Main Street, and named it Studt Appliance.

Houser, 83, of Oacoma, SD will be on Monday, May 28, 2018 at pm at the Oacoma Community Center (OCC) in Oacoma. She was active in her community as a Cub Scout Leader and volunteered on the Oacoma Centennial Committee. But most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker; she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning and cooking/baking.

Burial of ashes will be at the Graceland Cemetery in Oacoma; with luncheon to follow at OCC. Houser was born on January 22, 1935 to Raymond and Aileen (Lester) Hickey in Lyman, SD. She and Lorne both loved to play cards with friends and they would take turns hosting card parties.

On January 24, 1944, Della was united in marriage to John William Studt in Pierre.
